Poll question: How dangerous is perception?
After all, we all perceive things in a slightly different way...

2. I said very beneficial
After all, we'd be in a LOT of trouble if we could perceive nothing.

5. Perception is hard to define...
..but by embracing misperception as a negative (i.e., didn't perceive correctly), it becomes clearer.

So perception might be defined as using the senses to become aware of and (within limits) accurately form a concept about something, while misperception might be misreading the sensually gathered information and forming an inaccurate concept.

Which shouldn't settle anything! Perception can be altered and perceptual truth might not be anywhere close to absolute.

Is perception dangerous? Hell, yes! But what are the alternatives?

6. It depends on what is doing the looking
and perceiving!

Perception isn't dangerous, only the results of "disorted" (from another's perspective) perception.

7. It can be innocuous. But sometimes it depends upon the motive
behind the percption to. Everything always depends.

Heavy question.
