with someone I met at a poetry board. We have been emailing and phoning for 7 months. He lives 20 minutes from me and we were just talking about meeting. I hope it works out for you--it sounds exciting.

Mine almost ended when I realized after a few months we had only talked about literature and music--I mean I had to bring up politics. I sent him an email that said I could accept knowing anything about him except if he were a child molester or Republican--and if he were either of those things not to write me again. It turns out he is neither but is a very religious moderate Democrat who thought it was outrageous to put child molesters and Republicans together like that. I sent him an apology, I told him I realized I was insulting child-molesters. He was mad for a while but he got the rude tongue in cheekness of it all.
