Is Pachelbel's Canon in D major the most soothing music ever

and any of the music of Hildegard Von Bingen.

I've heard Taco Bell's Canon just too many times.

3. Pacho Bells Canyon is too boring. I like the 21st piano sonata in Cm, aka
the Waldstein, dedicated to Count Waldstein. Gets the blood circulating.

16. Ok, that was funny
It's kind of the "Stairway to Heaven" of classical music. It's a pretty decent piece of music that has been overplayed to death.

9. Nice but it's been played to death.
Too repetitive.

I recommend the stuff in replies 1 and 2.

Anything by Anonymous Four or the Tallis Scholars.

Or Chanticleer or The King's Singers.

That should get you started for choral music.

11. lol!
My husband and I laugh whenever we hear it. It reminds both of us of the Engagement Encounter weekend the Catholic church made us attend before we got married in the Catholic church.

Sorry... I used to like it... really...

20. Not if you have the world's suckiest arrangement for viola
I've always loved the piece BUT when I was playing in an orchestra the horrid arrangement was the same 4 measures of music over and over again..oh and it was almost all pizzicato (no bow, plucking) which was also blister inducing...So bad everytime I hear it now, I remember the pain....x(

soothing it is. Especially pieces like "Solace" and "Bethena."

24. Pachelbel and his Canon were probably the original One Hit Wonder.
That said, I do like it as a nice piece of light classical.
