Little one's first report card
Kindergarten

Got "Successful" (that is the top score apparently) in Language, Math, Science, Soc. Studies, Art, Health, Music, Phys.Ed., Tecnology. Knows all the letters that have been introduced (14 so far) by case and sound.

She has already missed 8 days out of 86 and was tardy once- we can't figure that one out yet.

Needs to work on Following Directions and Follows class and school rules- wonder where she gets THAT from

The principal actually signed it too. In blue ink. I was impressed by that.

She seems to have gotten the hang of it. No laps in weeks and double stickers the last two days.

Mom and Dad are very proud.

3. Place of honor on the refrigerator door?
.
.
.
That gives you a chance to remind her now and then how much
it makes you smile whenever you see it.

6. way to go little underpants
what are laps? Do they have to walk laps for misbehavior or something? Seems a bit much for kindergarten.

7. Reminds me of my first report cards, way way back.
They had a grade for what they called "Deportment" (that would equate to following directions and rules). I would have "S" for "satisfactory" in everything but deportment, and that was always a "U" for unsatisfactory".

I loved to talk! Humph, still do. But I have survived, and I am doing ok in life. (If they still gave "U"'s, I would still be getting them.

8. isn't it wild to get "grades" like that in Kindergarten?
when I think about how we mostly napped, played and learned the alphabet.... expectations have certainly changed. (not that little ones can't learn, it just seems that they are expected to learn in a less play-oriented way.)

Hope she continues to have fun and love learning. btw, what passes for "technology" in Kindergarten? (sometimes K curriculums scare me....;)
