Why does the iTunes on my phone have a "double speed" option, but my computer iTunes does not?

If the iTunes were people were clever enough to offer a double speed option for smart phones, why aren't they clever enough to do it on home computers?

God.

This is what I hate about Apple - "Oh, they'll want this option on this device, but not on that one". Thanks, Big Brother, for deciding for me how I'll use something.
