The Moral Question Raised in "The Walking Dead" **SPOILER ALERT**
In last night's episode, the CDC doc was about to let them all be exterminated. However, the survivors fought for and got their freedom. They were given a choice to stay and die, and in the end, only one did.

Would you have stayed to die or would you have left? You are looking at a completely bleak future devoid of all civilization wherein you may be attacked by groups of zombies at any time. What is there to live for? What about the children? Should you subject them to a nightmarish existence?

1. I think I would have tried to live
I wouldn't want to die with the thought that maybe the cure or vaccine is right around the corner.

2. I would choose to keep fighting.
The people in this band of survivors have overcome incredible odds to make it to this point, so they obviously see something that is worth fighting (and living) for. Although Jenner provided a lot of information, he can't possibly know everything about the state of the world -- the location of other survivors, if anyone else is working on a cure, etc. Although unlikely, the end to the apocalypse could be just around the corner.

Jenner provided them with a choice of a 0% survival rate (by staying at the CDC) or something minimally larger than that. Personally, I think I would take my chances with the latter, no matter what the odds.

:hi:
