Does anyone else have their meal on Friday instead of today?
We almost always do. We take Thanksgiving day to prepare what we can and get ready and that makes completing the meal a lot less stressful when we have it on Friday. There's also the benefit that if we HAVE forgotten something critical, the grocery store is open Friday morning. I'm hitting the Farmer's market (again) tomorrow morning to get the orange cauliflower and fresh-baked breads. As far as I know, I have everything else already.

1. not intentionally
but since I didn't even get the damn bird in the oven until 9...:eyes:

I don't think I have EVER finished prep before dark no matter what the plan or intention.

2. Then pour a glass of Chardonney and chill out!!! Just take it easy and forget the stress.
We're making the pumpkin pies and mashed potatoes today, as well as prepping a lot of the vegetables that need to be steamed tomorrow. That should make tomorrow pretty simple. The less stress the better.

5. Doing Day After Thanksgiving Dinner with daughters and their beaux tomorrow,
as they're with their Dad today and I'll be damned if I'll allow him to coopt the entire event.

SO, have to straighten up things around here, and pre-cook veges. Smoked turkey is in the fridge, pie (from grocery store) sitting. NOW I just have to organize/clean/get my act together!

7. We are doing that this year.
We went to a relative's house for dinner today, so we will have our own turkey dinner tomorrow. It's just weird not having any Thanksgiving leftovers in the house tonight.

Plus tomorrow will be way more relaxing since I have the day off. :hi:

8. That's what we're doing...
My son and his fiancee are at the Texas - Texas A&M game, so won't get to Dallas until tomorrow around lunchtime. Daughter and her bf don't make it into town until tomorrow night. So that's when we'll do it.

9. We barbecued today & are having our turkey dinner tomorrow.
My son & his wife had a busy schedule this year so we all thought BBQ would be best.

I've got my turkey cooked & am now working on rice dressing & cornbread dressing.

I loved doing it this way -- might start a new tradition!
