12. OMG - THAT;s who he reminds me of! Swan from Phantom of the Paradise
Played in the original 1974 version by Paul Williams. That blond helmet hair is almost the same style. And just remember what happened to Swan!

Or even Paul Williams in real life:

13. Original 1974 version?
If they ever even attempt to remake this masterpiece heads will roll.

Here is the Brady Bunch Nancy Drew Hardy Boys mashed up version of The Hell of It.

14. IMDB lists a 2010 version in production
But that could have fallen through. Usually in production movies have some info listed, and this one has nothing.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0914381/

No one else could play Beef like Gerrit Graham - he totally ruined 70s rock performers like Kiss for me since I kept seeing his performance instead.

"The Hell of It" is one of my favorite 'goodbye asshole' songs!

15. I ordered the DVD the week it came out from Amazon
It arrived. I pulled it out and put it in. Predator came up on my screen. It was a misprint. Said Phantom of the Paradise on the label but was actually Predator.

I immediately drove over to Best Buy and got a proper one.

Yeah, Gerrit Graham was magnificent. They would probably try to replace him with Russell Brand or some other flavor of the the week.
