Does anyone else Haggis Hunt?
It's really fun. There are live cams from sites in Great Britain - Scotland, England all over. And you just have to move from live camera to live camera to find the Haggis.

Its closed right now but the hunt starts up again on Nov. 30.

I actually won a calendar one year. I just like looking at the live cams. The people, the castles, the lochs - all sorts of stuff.

The site is Haggis Hunt.

1. The mascot looks surprisingly like a platypus. I'll admit I'm not very familiar with the
Scottish monotremes, but this surprised me. I suppose I'll now have to scour the web for Scottish arms, seeking early examples of the escutcheon with duckbill rampant

2. Yes. The Haggis does look a lot like that.
When you are playing that little Haggis just shows up on the webcam. You have to find as many of those as you can.

I think they actually do have some kind of neat prizes - like stays in hotels and stuff - but I never got close to that stuff. You probably would have to be able to play all the time to win the good stuff.

The calendar was nice.

3. Just the thought of it makes me want to puke.
Sorry, it just does - well, unless Monty Python is making fun of it.

4. You mean real Haggis? The meat of questionable origin?
Yea. I can't eat that stuff.

This is not real haggis. Its a little make believe animal.

5. Haggis is basically offal with stale bread stuffed in a sheep stomach.
And you thought SPAM was bad!

6. Yes. That sounds yummy.
Sort of like hot dogs only worse.

I never tried haggis when I was in Scotland. Just couldn't make myself.

7. I think I looked at an early version.
But that was years ago and they didn't have prizes.

I tried haggis when I was last in Scotland. It was pretty good.
