Need help coming up with an idea for a holiday parade float...
Last night I stupidly volunteered to be on the holiday parade float subcommittee of the PTO...

Anyone have any suggestions for a float theme?

The theme of the parade is "The Good Olde Days" (helpful, I know, ugh) which is vague.

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them. I have to go to a meeting Thursday night with something to offer...

5. Christmas, although technically it's just a "holiday" parade on 12/4.
I was thinking the Norman Rockwell painting "Freedom from Want" until I thought about how white it is... probably wouldn't play well where I live.

6. A giant tissue-paper penis with a condom over it.
I know that doesn't have much to do with the "Good Olde Days", but it would be fun to see one going down the street.

7. my float idea
Make

NO "E"

giant, out of papier-mâché, thus telling the parade organizers that using "olde" in this context is lame.

Sorry. Not feeling very creative. But I wish you the best in coming up with something.

:)

10. Pac-Man?
You could be ironic and let the kids decide what constitutes "Olde".

11. Would it be too late to do
a "balloon boy" float. A trick or treater came dressed up like that and was the one to get two pieces of candy from me.
