7. Generic advil is just ibuprofen
Excedrin has caffeine, which can help constrict blood vessels and reduce pressure, if it's a pressure (throbby, pounding type headache)... Generic ibuprofen generally does the trick for me, though...

5. Interesting factoid
Excedrin has caffeine in it, which will help if the headache is caused by caffeine withdrawal. Of course, it also prolongs the addiction, if you're trying to stop.

9. i WISH analgesics worked...
i get migraines, averaging 12-18 a month. i've gone entire seasons with a migraine.

over-the-counter analgesics are a joke. i could take enough to completely rip out my intestinal lining and it still wouldn't make a dent in my migraines.

caffeine can help somewhat, as good old h20 can help, so i sometimes drink soda, which vaguely helps sometimes.

thank glaxo for imitrex. changed my life!

14. Almonds are supposed to be a natural remedy
But I usually take a shortcut and head for the Advil. Fortunately, I don't get many headaches.

15. 6 oz
single malt Scotch. Repeat every 30 min. or when glass is empty. Pregnant women and the elderly should consult with their physician before starting any medication. If symptoms persist, take a nap and an aspirin.
