Our old dog, Peanut, who had cancer surgery in January, just came out
Edited on Thu Sep-16-10 04:26 PM by old mark
of anesthesia an hour or so ago - he had a seriously abcessed tooth removed. He is fine, and we will bring him home a little after 7PM tonight.

We are having a much better day now.

He is 9 1/2 years old, pretty old for such a large dog - Doberman/Great Dane mix, around 102 pounds in his old age form...

6. Ah, glad to hear about Peanut!
Funny that a dog that big is named "Peanut". But it's good that he'll feel better, and is coming home tonight. Best wishes to the big guy. :)

8. Best wishes to Peanut. I am sure he will be so much better
without that abcessed tooth. Surgery in animals sucks, they just don't understand it is for the best.

I hope he can walk out of the vet's office. That is one big dog.

10. He is curled up on 2 pillows on the sofa right now, having a hard time
holding his big head up.

He will be feeling better by the weekend, and will be on pain meds and antibiotics for 10 days.

Thank you, everyone.
