If you have heard the song Peanut Butter Jelly Time then I have a question
Someone told me after I listened to this song that it was about taking a baseball bat to the side of a white man's head. Now the person who told me this isn't a racist and is well traveled, so I trust his judgment, but was he just yanking my chain?

I mean look at the parallels peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are often made with white bread, and I've never smashed a man's head open on the sidewalk before but the result could look an awful lot like peanut butter and jelly mixed together. Not to mention the fact that throughout the song the phrase, "peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat" comes up more than once.

Of course chances are that splattered brains don't look like peanut butter jelly, but to those prone to commit acts of racial violence PB+J may be the only way that they could describe such an event(people who commit such acts probably aren't that intelligent in the first place).

So is this song really about racial violence or just peanut butter jelly?

State why you think it is or isn't and list your sources.
