OUCH! A lady crashed into me and ripped my toenail off.
It hurts like hell, and I have to get on a plane and go to a wedding shower in Minnesota tomorrow. Nothing like walking though O'Hare with a throbbing toe.

Oh well, I wonder if I can get a 10% discount on a pedicure now?

1. My dear grace0418!
Yikes! Oooh, that's got to hurt, majorly!

This is one reason I don't wear anything that exposes my toes...:scared:

I strongly urge you to wrap it up securely, get some ice on it, and stay off it for a while...Oh, and elevate it too!

Have fun at the wedding shower!

:hi:

2. Thanks CP! Oddly enough, I just recently started wearing flip-flops on a trip to Hawaii (it's
pretty much the only shoe anyone wears there). It's been so hot in Chicago the past few weeks it's all I can bear to wear at the moment. Now it's all I'll be able to put on my foot for awhile.

I cleaned it, put some antibiotic ointment on it, and wrapped it in bandages. It doesn't hurt as bad as I thought it would, but I don't know how I'm going to put shoes on tomorrow. I have to wear compression stockings when I fly and I'm not looking forward to trying to get those on. So much for my workout later as well.

Grrrr. Why don't people watch where they are going?

3. All the more reason to proactively poison your toenails when going open-toed.
You suffer some throbbing and a limp, careless toenail-ripper dies horribly. Fair enough.

4. Never thought of that before.
Hm. Well, too late now.

6. It took me a minute, but I remember that.
I guess my foray into being a carefree flip-flop wearer was a short-lived one.
