People still float on intertubes?
Do people still float around on car tire intertubes and tractor tire intertubes? And if so, where the heck can they found nowadays?

When I was a kid, these two types of tubes were some of the most sought after items. Especially the tractor tire intertube.

With tubeless tires, anyone know where these things can even be found anymore?

1. hard to find
last time I bought them was at an independent garage (those are hard to find too!) but they make "river tubes" now - extra heavy duty swimming pool floats. My kids just bought some to float the Salt River two weeks ago. Sporting goods store.

Real inner tubes: http://www.gemplers.com/tires-supplies

this guy seems to sell them too: http://www.squidoo.com/inner_tubonia

remember, car tire sizes are really too small - good for your ice chest maybe, but tractor sizes are best

2. On the internet
A series of tubes that deliver information around the world via computer

Series, tire houses will gladly sell new inner tubes, but the days of snagging a free one from the junk pile are long gone.

6. Depends what it's filled with, I guess.
Filled with air? People float on them. Filled with cement? Probably not so much floating.

7. Specially made tubes now
I guess everyone got tired of having that metal fill tube dig into their backs and scrape up the legs. These new ones have all soft plastic fill tubes and some even have handles.

12. Float on innertubes. Blog on the intertubes.
If you have the right gear you can blog on the intertubes while you float on an innertube. Otherwise, the twain seldom meet.
