FWIW, I had a chest X-ray last month and there are all these signs around saying "The technician is NOT allowed to discuss your case with you." Fine-- I understand techs are not doctors and can cause all sorts of trouble talking about stuff with anxious patients.

But, just as I was leaving, he called out "Good luck."

(Turned out my lungs were OK, even after 40 years of heavy smoking, but by the time I got home I was just a little shaken.)
