or are they still in the athlete profile marathon? 200+ athletes takes up a lot of time at 4-5 minutes a pop!

edited for spelling

1. Wouldn't know - been watching on CTV and TSN
Both of which have shown copious amounts of actual events. I don't get NBC - by choice.

2. I wish! We have CBC here(Seattle area)
But as you know, they don't have it this year. NBC sucks on an epic scale with their Olympic coverage.

5. Bummer!
I'm not surprised to hear NBC sucks, but epic suckage is not good. :( I'd suggest ctv.ca, but if it's like Hulu here (site available but not broadcasts), you might now have any luck there either.

3. Yes,in between commercials and Bob Costas' monologues they manage
a few moments.

Although the Luge was hard to watch, not only because of that tragic accident, but because the fooking announcer pointed out every and all potential death makers along the course.

4. Channel surfing last night-they have some coverage on CNBC.
Not the same as what's on NBC.

6. You missed the women's moguls?
Here you go.

American Hannah Kearney, at left, took the gold in women's freestyle moguls. American Shannon Bahrke, at right, took the bronze. (Jae C. Hong/AP)

8. How long have you hated women?
That was a great event. They gave it their all.

9. Yes, they did. I saw it. I want women to be permitted to compete in ski jumping.
The record holder on this jump is...a woman!

I really don't endorse any event that has people on skis or boards doing flips in the air. It's dangerous and a lot of folks get hurt trying.

11. It IS dangerous, like many of the Alpine sports.
Not for the faint-hearted.

I say make barrel jumping an Olympic sport. Lots of crashes and they don't fall as far.

12. That was fun to watch
Felt bad for Kristi Richards and Michelle Roark -- loved to watch them both finish their runs anyway.

Jenn Heil was great on her run, and then it was also cool to see her reaction to Kearney's run, knowing it might be good enough to take 1st--I'm sure she was a little disappointed that she didn't win the gold, but the expression on her face after Kearney's run (when the results weren't yet known) looked like one of simple respect and admiration for competition and a competitor. I thought that was a nice moment.

13. Might be bitching, but I suppose I'm spoiled....
after being able to watch CBC's coverage for so many year and how they go all out. Yes, they do the athlete profiles, sob sotries, rags to riches, injured to success etc., but anyone who has seen both networks coverage can attest, CBC by far covers the games, and events over and above NBC.
