and it is snowing really horribly here tonight.

the cemetery part of the service will be cold.

Roads are slick and snow is dumping

for family visitation


Hubby hates this part the most (after her dying)

he hates sitting around the funeral home with the open casket and people coming that he really doesn't know telling him how sorry they are for him losing his grandma.

but afterwards, sometimes many moons in the future, it is nice to reflect on the people who came and had wonderful stories to tell. That's what you will remember. And some stories might surprise you.

My grandmother passed away last week and the funeral was yesterday. I don't like the open casket visitation either, but it did give me one last chance to say goodbye. I am grieving for her more than I thought I would.
