My Pickles needs some healing vibes
We had started her on meds for her hyperthyroidism, but I took her off of them when she started getting a little weepy, scabby rash over her eyes. It now extends from inside her ears to just past her the corners of her eyes and she is losing clumps of fur and maybe skin too. All this on top of a racing heart and a rotten tooth.

3. Well, the plan is to give it a week and see if it clears up, but try to get her in to see him if it
gets much worse. She hasn't had a Methimazole pill since Sunday morning so I am still hoping the itchiness will go away soon.

7. I send vibes of course for Pickles
and I love the name. One of my kittehs is newly diagnosed hyperthyroid. Does Pickles get the ointment med for inside the ear? Is that what's causing the rash? I was told that Tabitha could get the med in pill form if the ointment didn't work, and we won't know how effective the ointment is for a couple weeks. And that Tabs' increased heart rate is a symptom of the hyperthyroid. All in all, it sounds like Pickles is having a bad time of it. Hope she's feeling much better soon.

8. It was the pill that she was taking. :^( Her brother (actual littermate) is on the same pill
with no trouble so I wasn't really expecting such a bad reaction from my little girl.

I hope your Tabitha does well with the ointment. :)
