Daily Duggar Update: Apparently #19 has been born.
My daughter, who is in school right now and really should be paying attention to her studies, just texted me to say that Michelle Duggar has birthed her 19th baby. I checked on the Duggar website and this one wasn't due until mid-March. If she really did give birth today, the baby is very premature. I wish mother and baby well.

I don't have a link, but if you'd like, I can have my daughter text you with the news.

2. I hope it is all right, and I hope they take this as a sign that their babymaking
days should come to an end. I can't even imagine the toll having so many belly-to-belly pregnancies took on Mrs. Duggar's body. Perhaps it's gotten to the point where she just can't safely do it anymore.

16. I hope they interpret it as a sign from God and just STOP.
If that's not a "best wish" for them I don't know what is.

21. I'm with you hedgehog. Just peeked at another
Duggar thread in which DU is not putting its best foot forward.

People on this site don't have to like this large fundie family. In fact I suspect many don't. However, the vicious attacks aren't necessary.

I'm not a fan, but happened to catch a snippet when the mom was being asked her feelings about Obama. She said he seems like a good family man and she wishes him well. The Duggars aren't my cup of tea, but I don't think they're evil and I do wish the mother and latest newborn all the best.

24. I watch the show and love it.
I'm an only child, so the Duggars fascinate me. I really do hope the baby will turn out to be healthy and happy. Michelle and I are the same age, 42, and I'm surprised this hasn't happened before. They've been very lucky up until now. Our political beliefs are different, and we disagree on certain points of religion, but I like the Duggars. All the children seem very happy, and when you watch the show, you see they really do have their own personalities and they're not angels all the time. I saw an episode last week where a little brother tried to take a toy from his sister, and she punched him! With so many boys around, the Duggar girls are NOT sissies.

body has its limits. That said, I wish nothing but the best for the family and this latest baby - at 1 lb 6 oz she'll need lots of medical attention plus well wishes and good thoughts. It is not the baby's fault that her parents have been reproducing at a staggering rate.

I really do hope the premie pulls through and that her mom is ok.

I do too.
It'd be awful if either child or mother died. But I think this is a sign to stop it.

Another:

Jumpin' Jack.

9. Hopefully the dingbat realizes this is God's way of saying STOP without actually harming either.
Good luck, though. Hopefully she takes this warning sign and does something with it. It'd be horrible if the next child killed her and the baby.

Really Michelle's been pregnant nonstop for 20 years, I'm sure her body is worn out. Time for Jim Bob to get a new hobby. Best wishes for mom and baby and I hope the Duggars make wise decisions in the future.

If she survives, they will probably have a disabled sibling to babysit/raise along with all the others they now tend.

15. Between the large number of pregnancies Mrs. Dugger
has had over the last several years without giving her body a chance to recuperate properly, plus her having been hospitalized for a gallbladder problem last week, I'm not surprised to hear this. I hope that both she and her newest baby do well and are ok.

19. Stewie Griffin was possibly referring to Duggar when he said...
"So, is there any tread left on the tires? Or at this point would it be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway?"

23. That poor child
faces a lot of challenges, right from the git-go. I hope she's physically and mentally okay, and that the Duggars have some decent medical insurance. Otherwise, the upcoming medical bills will be staggering. Best wishes for the whole family.
