15. Actually, what I learned yesterday

is that Levi is also supporting his mother and sister. His father filed for divorce just recently and has not been contributing to the family at all. Sherry, who is disabled, has been in jail since August when she pled guilty to one count of distribution of OxyContin. Her lawyer is hoping to have her do her time (three years) at home on an ankle monitor. Mercede is still in school (I believe she's a senior this year), so Levi is the sole breadwinner.

But there's no proof and now Sherry has to pay for it with six years of her life -- three years for the sentence and three years probation, which seems very steep to me for a first-time offender.
