got in my first fundy argument today ..woohoo
so this morning me and a fundy at work were talking about Larry Johnson and his suspension and he asked exactly why he was suspended

I replied that it was had to do with him referring to gays in a pretty out there bad way.

He said it was a shame a man can be suspended from his job for expressing an opinion.

I tried to keep my cool *my son is gay* and said he has to realize he is a public figure and what he says reflects on the team.

He said it's just a shame that people who follow Gods word are so discriminated against and teaching the immorality of homosexuality was Gods way. This is from a *good Godly man* who wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire unless you payed him first telling me this.

At that point I got pissed and asked him if he would have felt the same way if Larry Johnson had said he was tired of all the fucking stupid ass fundy christians trying to tell people how to live

he walked away.

why do Christians think they have some moral high ground to bash everyone with?

2. Why bother arguing - neither of you will enlighten the other but will just speak at each other

5. I don't really care if a bigot gets enlightened or not
But one were to express such bigoted ideas, I probably wouldn't allow it to go unchecked either. If someone wants to be a bigot, they can go right ahead, but I'm not going to give them the idea that their knuckledragging thoughts are mainstream or acceptable. I don't know that I would argue with them very much about it, but they are not going to get a free pass around me. Sometimes to remain silent implies consent.

3. I have no idea, Bob
If I could figure out fundies, I'd be a wealthy
man. Anyone with that ability could pick Saturday's
Powerball numbers.
