Religious jokes from Emo Philips
· When I was a kid, I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realised, the Lord doesn't work that way. So I just stole one and asked Him to forgive me ... and I got it!

· So I'm at the wailing wall, standing there like a moron, with my harpoon."

· A Mormon told me that they don't drink coffee. I said, "A cup of coffee every day gives you wonderful benefits." He said, "Like what?" I said, "Well, it keeps you from being Mormon ..."

· I'm not Catholic, but I gave up picking my belly button for lint.

· When I was a kid my dad would say, "Emo, do you believe in the Lord?" I'd say, "Yes!" He'd say, "Then stand up and shout Hallelujah!" So I would ... and I'd fall out of the roller coaster

Way back when, I usta think Emo was a pale rip off of Pee-Wee Herman's shtick. Now I kinda miss him, although of course I'd probably be shocked to see how much he's aged since the mid 80s.

I think he looks good, just gray hair and a few wrinkles.

He is a unique and damn funny guy.

4. I live near Downers Grove, Il., and it's tough to go there and not think of Emo.
"Ohhhhhhhhh, I was walking down the street, and something caught my eye, and dragged it fifteen feet"

5. He's not dead yet!
THough he looks a lot more like just a middle-aged guy. But you can see him on "The Aristocrats" (ADULT WARNING: You are likely to either die of terminal offense or just die laughing). The Emo character isn't as creepily adorable, which I guess has a shelf life (Pee Wee Herman is 57 freakin years old! How does he manage it???). But I still love a crazy comedic character, and he was among the best in his prime.
