comp help please (maybe video card related)

morning all.

I'm having a lockup issue with my comp.When I'm surfing the net or watching videos it runs fine but when I play EQ2 it will run for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes and blue screen out and part of the message is nvidea

I'm thinking the fan on the card is failing?

1. Is it an HP?

They have had major Nvidia problems that they won't own up to. See here:

2. no a dell

a pci express 7800 card.

It won't break my heart if it is the card going.Been looking for an excuse to update

3. Mine did the same thing for about a month before the video card blew.

You can take the video card out and see if the fuses are blown/blowing, or if it's running really hot. Or, just take the cover off your computer and watch the card to see if the fan is running normally.

4. Vid card overheating...

I had this problem a long time ago with a 3DFX VooDoo card,Ran the crap out of it.

take a small fan and blow it into the case...this will buy u some time while u shop for a new card.
