I need advice of the optical kind...

I wear Contac lenses and I have a pair of regular glasses, just in case something happens to my lenses. Now I'm finding myself in the predicament of wearing my last pair of (monthly) contacs and I can't find my regular glasses. I know some of you are thinking "Well, just get some more lenses", and that would be nice, but the prescription is way out of date and I can't get any without an optometrist's prescription. Also, since I bought my contacs, I've developed far-sightedness, so I need bifocals. Also, as I age, contacs keep scratching my eyes because of a lack of moisture. Sooooooo....I don't have two nickels to rub together, and even though Medicare will pay for the examination, they won't pay for the glasses, which will be pricey.

If I don't find those glasses soon, I will have nothing, which means I'll be LEGALLY BLIND. Aside from sending me some really powerful vibes, does anybody have an idea of where I can go for help? (Remember--I'm on Medicare, not Medicaid).
