Spent a couple of hours with my dentist this morning, dealing with the result of having a gap under a crown so that stuff could get in and cause decay beneath the gumline. I won't go into detail, but I'm feeling whiney and have to eat a fairly liquid diet for a week. Hmph.

5. You have mine.
Had a similar procedure once. Not fun. And, as you say, you have to live on slop for a few days afterwards. I decided that I hated slop, and would rather lose a few pounds. So that's what I did. But that's just me.

Hope you recover quickly, and feel better soon.

8. Much sympathy from me Nolabear!
Have lived through lots of dental horrors so I know where you're coming from, poor soul! Take your pain meds and sleep through as much of the first day or two as you can. Then you'll be through the worst of it!

That's the strategy I always use. :hi:

Really, though, I'm doing okay. MAN, having your body messed with like that is stressful!

12. Oh come on, I been thru' that also. No big deal. Remember the only
thing worse than dental work, is not getting dental work.
Let me clarify that, do you realize how many people in this world go thru' life and can never afford to see a dentist, other than for extractions, which they then must live with (missing teeth?). I have a suspicion it is more than 1/2 the world's population.
You should be grateful, happy as a clam and aware of your privileged position on this planet.
