http://news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10374831-2.html">Finland makes 1Mb broadband access a legal right

Finland's Ministry of Transport and Communications has made 1-megabit broadband Web access a legal right, YLE, the country's national broadcasting company, reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, every person in Finland (a little over 5 million people, according to a 2009 estimate) will have the right of access to a 1Mb broadband connection starting in July. And they may ultimately gain the right to a 100Mb broadband connection.

4. The only reason anyone in Europe understands the Finns, or the Hungarians (languages are related)
Is because the Finns all also speak Swedish, and the Hungarians all also speak German.

7. They look like formidable languages
I might have to find someplace else where broadband is a fundamental human right and they speak something like Spanish.

8. It would be great if every language were as easy to learn as Espanol.
Spanish is supposedly the easiest language in the world to learn.

But, Swedish is not as complicated as English.
English is actually a pretty difficult language, especially in terms of reading and writing. Also, the Swedish language has about 1/3 of the vocabulary content that English has.

So, we should feel lucky to have mastered a difficult language first, and then move on to learn a supposedly easier foreign language. For me, the vowels are the trickiest. But, their rules are more consistent than ours, about everything else.

"I might have to find someplace else where broadband is a fundamental human right and they speak something like Spanish." Yeah, that sounds good! :D

9. Finland?
Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I want to be,
Pony trekking or camping,
Or just watching TV.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
It's the country for me.

You're so near to Russia,
So far from Japan,
Quite a long way from Cairo,
Lots of miles from Vietnam.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I want to be,
Eating breakfast or dinner,
Or snack lunch in the hall.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
Finland has it all.
You're so sadly neglected
And often ignored,
A poor second to Belgium,
When going abroad.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I quite want to be,
Your mountains so lofty,
Your treetops so tall.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
Finland has it all.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I quite want to be,
Your mountains so lofty,
Your treetops so tall.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
Finland has it all.

Finland has it all.

And remember, brake for møøse, it cøould save your life!
