in LA for National League Championship.

Rockies, you are a great team - it was anybody's game for the last 2 innings, the best 2 innings of baseball I have ever seen, ever.
Dodgers, we are coming to beat your blue ass.

1. I wouldn't be so overconfident
Did you see Game 2 of the Dodgers against the Cardinals? The Dodgers refuse to lose. Those were the best last 2 innings of the playoffs.

The L.A. bullpen has performed the BEST of all the teams in the postseason up to this point. (Statistical fact, rather than an opinion on my part - and the Cards have hitters like Pujols)

The Phillies just beat a WILDCARD - a team that actually took a game in Philly. If they were that good, their bullpen wouldn't have allowed the Rockies back into the game. Now they will be playing the team with the best record in the NL, and a team you better score early with, because the Dodgers will shut you down in the last 3 innings.

2. That's why they play the games
instead of just bullshitting about them

See you Thursday.

3. You beat the WILDCARD team
And you couldn't even sweep like all the other series. That's all I am saying. :P

8. I'm too bitter to care
But of all the teams remaining I want the Dodgers to win. Anyone but the Yankees is who I'm really rooting for. What I thought is a shocking fact that I learned today.. A-Rod has no rings. Let's keep it that way. ;)

12. That's the only acceptable loophole, haha
Above the door of the upstairs den, I have my 1981 Dodgers WS pennant framed. It's the one I got for Xmas that year, and it used to hang over my bedroom door (unframed - just with tacks) from then (9th grade) until I moved to Seattle in 1988 (incidentally, the last year the Dodgers won it all). When I moved to L.A. in 2005, I rescued it from storage and now have it proudly displayed once again.

Been a fan since I was a kid in the early 70's. When I was born in San Diego in '67, the Padres were a AAA minor league team, so technically, the Dodgers were my home team. I never did warm to the Padres. Nor the Angels.

Never imagined either in 1981 or 1988 I would actually live in L.A. one day though. Going to Dodger Stadium is still a surreal adventure for me. :-)

I have survived 3 Dodgers/Yankees World Series - 1977, 1978, and 1981. I was overseas for those first 2, unable to see or hear the games - and had to read the box scores 3 days later in the armed forces newspaper. Just as well, since you know how those turned out. But 1981 was GREAT. A snarky little Yankees fan sat behind me in English class. His silence was golden come the morning after it was over. :D

14. I like the Phillies but I really want a freeway series so go Dodgers!
Of course the dipshit sports media is so overwhelmingly for the New York money machine that they're not even giving my team a chance. And ESPN isn't even giving them a lick of coverage.

15. I'm watching them talk about all 4 teams on ESPN right now
John Kruck says the Angels bullpen is the one under the most pressure but there is some disagreement on that.
