3. Yes, yikes!
I hope they are going someplace with this. I can understand the kids afraid of being caught with weapons and trying to cover up that they punctured Butters's eye, but I hope the ending is better than a joke.

6. They'd show animated sex as means to say pornography is bad
Edited on Wed Mar-17-04 10:22 PM by HypnoToad
They always do this. Be as extreme as possible and then say it's bad.

The ep where they say "shit" 163 times (big deal, British broadcast TV had the guts to swear on TV long before America did, broadcast or cable...) is the most notable offender.

That is NOT to say the show isn't funny. :D

12. I was laughing hysterically at that one!!
Brilliant episode!

One nice thing abotu going to see the sister - she has a TV, so I can catch up on soem shows I like (like South Park and the Food Network and the decorating shows on TLC and, hell, even Ellen Degeneres' show).

South Park was BRILLIANT last night!! I loved the anime, I just about busted my gut when Butters got the shuriken in his eye, and Buttersw trying to bark was so pathetically in tune with someone losing a lot of blood but trying to be a trooper, it was sad and hilarious, and, of course, naked Cartman.

And the re-run before the show, an episode I'd never seen, was priceless. I think that's the only time we've heard "Cleveland Steamer" and "Dirty Sanchez" and some others all at one time (though we've heard "Cleveland Steamer" on Family Guy).

All around excellent show.

13. I know i'm responding late to this thread,
but I did see this episode last night.

The funniest part of the episode was when I saw Cartman go invisible in their little fantasy world, because then I knew it was really gonna happen.

Then when I saw that big tub of love walking across the stage, and the reactions of the people and the guy on the stage, I literally could not stop laughing. I had tears rolling down my face. Something about that was just hilarious.

14. It was perfectly timed, for one thing
One of the few times that South Park has slowed down to allow a time-sensitive gag the time it needs to really work - Cartman walking across quickly would have been funny, but Cartman walking across slowly, and the producers allowing those precious sconds to show him going so slowly, made it perfectly timed.

And welcome to DU, though I'm more of a Jefferson Airplane fan, Jefferson Starship at least wasn't the dungpile that Starship was. "We built this city - we built this city on SELLING OUT".

:hi: and again, welcome!
