Does Bleach harm Hardwood Floors?
Signed,

Frustrated Cat Pee Abolitionist.

All my supposed enzymatic solutions now smell like cat pee to me. If you have a magic bullet besides rip up my planks, speak now.

InstructionsThings You'll Need:
409
Mop
Broom
Dust pan
Vinegar
Step 1Clean up any left over urine spots or stains.

Step 2Get a broom and dust pan. Sweep the floor complete clean.

Step 3Fill a bucket or sink with hot water and 409. Begin to mop the floor.

Step 4Next mop with cold clean water.

Step 5Let the floor dry.

Step 6Mix two- four cups of vinegar with warm water and begin to mop.

Step 7Rinse again with cold water.

Step 8Open any and all doors or windows to let the smell air out. Let dry for at least 24 hrs. If the room does not have a window or you can not leave the window open, use a fan.

Step 9Mop again with hot water and 409.

Step 10Rinse and let dry. Let the room air for another 24hrs.

Step 11Repeat all steps if smell stays. This method has been tested and worked. If you are still having a hard time getting the smell to go away scrub the walls down as well. Cats sometimes spray the walls with pee. Their could be some pee on the walls that you can not see and is leaving a smell.
