Name the Unidentified Irish Band

Great photo. I wish I could still dress like that and get away with it.

I hate being an aging hipster.

Anyway, Good Luck and as always....NO CHEATING!!!!!

12. They sure don't write 'em like they used to.......
Inflammable material is planted in my head
It's a suspect device that's left 2000 dead
Their solutions are our problems
They put up the wall
On each side time and prime us
And make sure we get fuck all
They play their games of power
They mark and cut the pack
They deal us to the bottom
But what do they put back?

Don't believe them
Don't believe them
Don't be bitten twice
You gotta suss, suss, suss, suss, suss out
Suss suspect device

They take away our freedom
In the name of liberty
Why don't they all just clear off
Why won't they let us be
They make us feel indebted
For saving us from hell
And then they put us through it
It's time the bastards fell

3. You know they do.
Edited on Wed Mar-17-04 03:57 PM by XNASA
Did you know that they're still touring strong? And, did you know that ex-Jam bassist Bruce Foxton is now in the band?

Are they a great group, or what? And don't say "Or what". It was a rhetorical question.

4. Yeah. I also liked That Petrol Emotion and their parent group.
The peerless Undertones.

6. The Undertones.....
Always left me cold. The higher end vocals reminded me of the Buzzcocks who I was also lukewarm. Didn't dislike either group but they both lacked the urgency and more aggressive edge that I liked in Stiff Little Fingers.

8. Agreed.
I enjoyed listening to both the Undertones and the Buzzcocks, but they're second tier bands when compared to the likes of SLF.

I can identify musically and philosophically with SLF.

9. It's Stiff Little Fingers.
Edited on Wed Mar-17-04 04:08 PM by XNASA
Sorry. No Cate. She's not much for staying up late in smoky bars that feature old geezers playing loud music. Even if her husband is one of the geezers.

But hey! You're coming? Great. See you there. I hope we don't suck.
