Not just change, but go through a very public, very vegan transformation.

The day I got out of jail, I would have called PETA. I would tell them I have learned my lesson, and wanted to work with them, both on becoming 100% vegan (and with that being the biggest public relations coup for Veganism) and playing footbal.

I would have starred in ads promoting the ethical treatment of animals.

I would, in short, have become the Paul of Tarsus of the Vegan world.
