I just got a commendation at work, and it killed my boss to have to give it to me.

I'm one of those nightmare employees; I'm a disciplinary problem, but my job performance is exemplary.

In a unit meeting this morning, I received a commendation from an agency Deputy Director, which my line supervisor had to give to me. She had a pained look on her face the whole time. The phrase "living well is the best revenge" now has a reference point for me.

I think I'll celebrate by putting more random shit in the fridge.
