One funny thing about the reporting of Michael Jackson's death.......
all the seemingly under 18's who are SO affected by his death. I find it funny how the local news reporters are finding all these children who are so affected.

I mean, if you weren't around in the 70's or 80's you really didn't "get" the full impact of his real talent, IMO. The Jackson Five, Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean......

I remember the first time seeing the Thriller video. Ah, memories. :)

1. I agree
In the 1970s, teenage girls used to talk about which Jackson brother they were going to marry. I can't think of a single act in the 1990s or 2000s who was so big in pop culture.

2. Maybe their parents were playing the music
I know I still love some of the catchier stuff my parents listened to when I was young.

3. he always was and always will be huge with kids who love great performers of the singer/ dancer
ilk. He really raised the ar in that regard. and if you are into all that, or aspire to it, you know his work. there's few out there who could do both so exceptionally well.
