1. I have no idea who Seether is...
and as for two, well, obviously there's a good reason why I don't know who they are..:eyes:

3. I thought it wasn't half bad.
It is, however, overplayed. :P

5. I actually like Seether's version over Wham's version.
But it's just overplayed on my local rock station. x(

14. It's way better. But you are right about it being overplayed.
But I never much cared for Wham... At. All. So I may not be an unbiased judge.

6. Honey, are you listening to the radio? WHY?
Anymore that's like letting people with no taste drop a gigantic shit directly in your ear, you know?

For the love of all that's good and decent, make yourself a big old playlist of shit that doesn't suck, play that, and forget the radio exists. And don't tell me you play it for the dogs, because making them hear Nickelback every 45 minutes is abuse. I'd suggest satellite radio, but both providers got rid of their punk stations (Sirius' was really good- a nice mix of old hardcore and newer stuff that doesn't suck) and are DTM.

8. It's the dogs' stereo, and WUSF went kaput a couple weeks ago.
WUSF is the local non-profitish classical station. I'd leave in on WMNF, but polka hour makes them howl.

9. Polka? Subjecting them to that should make them bite you in the junk.
There's got to be a humane alternative here.

10. This one, 97x at least overplays Rise Against along with
the payola shitola that passes as "the new rock alternative" whatever the hell that means. The only station I've heard play Social D in years.

15. Okay, now you sent me to YouTube...
...as an 80's girl who loves 80's music and loves the original song, I was curious about the remake.

Ugh!! Could not even stand to listen to it all the way through.

16. Seether is a rock band who lost a bet at a party with way too many drugs.
It could happen to anyone.

18. Wow, good questions...
Hmm... let me answer this as best I can.

They are an awful "nu-something" band (you can tell by the music, although one only has to look at the "edgy" band name to understand that this band is bankrupt from concept) who draw their influence off of 90's alt rock and have a ken for 80's kitsch, but apparently understand neither well enough to find the obvious fault in remaking an 80's pop ballad into a pseudo-grunge/metal... um... interpretation... I guess... of an 80's pop ballad.

19. I sang that at karaoke a few days ago...
Edited on Thu Jun-18-09 02:43 AM by FlyingSquirrel
I like the fact that a cool song I used to sing can now be sung again without people tuning out. (Same goes for the Lemonheads version of Mrs. Robinson, and Quietdrive's version of Time After Time.)

Also I like singing the Seether / Amy Lee duet "Broken", although we sing it much better than they do.

:D
