I just got my first rejection slip. I think I'll print it and have it framed.

"Thank you for your recent submission to Challenge Magazine! We
appreciate your interest in the magazine. Stay in touch. Good luck
and safe travels!"

It's much more posititve and upbeat than I had imagined a rejection slip to be, but I'm no longer interested in Challenge Magazine.

1. Welcome to the club!
Keep submitting, keep collecting them.

Eventually, these odd letters show up accepting something and makes it all worth it...

:hi:

2. Yes, right. Keep submitting.
I have been in the magazine publishing business for 30 years. When I worked for a city magazine in Miami, I would have to send out rejection letters. There were many stories that should never have been rejected. One story was so great that I begged the editor to use it, but he wouldn't. Months later, that story was published in the Saturday Evening Post.
