5. Rent, Buy or Steal
"Children of Men". I rented it from Netflix, and wound up buying a copy so I could watch it many times again.

BTW, why on earth isn't "V for Vendetta" on this list? As a dystopian fantasy, it's way up there with "Children of Men". The Brits do that sort of thing awfully well.

I will have to rent Children of Men.

8. You mean to say that
"Contact" and "2001: A Space Odyssey" have not been honored with a Saturn Award, while "Rollerball," "Men in Black" and "Dark City" have been?

11. Space Odyssey predates the Saturn Awards
No explanation why MIB beat out Contact in 1997, except to say that I enjoyed them both.

15. All but Slaughterhouse-Five and Children of Men
Edited on Fri May-22-09 10:49 PM by AllenVanAllen
Pretty good list though!

Although, I don't think Star Trek VI should have made the list. Star Trek:The Motion Picture, Wrath of Khan or Search for Spock would have been better choices.

17. Spielberg was the wrong choice here
Kubrick should have directed it himself.
