11. I actually moved TO Daly City....briefly.
Mr. D. lived there.
The first summer was a shocker.
The 2nd one was just as dim and grey,
Then someone explained to me that was normal summer weather.
I couldn't hear them above the roar of the jets coming over the top of San Bruno mountain.
I moved back to Ala.
Mr. D. wisely came along.
It is very quiet and sunny again today, deep in the woods.

12. but a couple miles inland makes a huge difference
most summer days at my house are sunny, though the fog rolls in most afternoons.

sometimes i'll see it lurking, menacingly behind the hill, just waiting to spoil the nice weather. :wtf:

15. When I lived in San Francisco, I lived in Upper Market/Noe Valley
I'd watch the fog blow right by below us, and we'd be in sun. Before I visited my friend in the Sunset district, I'd call her to ask what the weather was doing there. Inevitably, she'd have fog and cold temps.

16. I'll be there on June 8., my mon's birthday.
both of my parents, my mother's parents, a couple of great uncles and aunts and a bunch of old family friends are buried at Golden Gate National Cemetery. Before he died my dad told me having the military bury him was his final FU to the navy. He was in the submarine corps in the pacific theater and earned a lot of decorations which he didn't talk about.
