Do you ever make vows to yourself to change your behavior?
Edited on Sat May-16-09 06:55 PM by Mike 03
What do you do/feel if you break that vow to yourself?

Does anyone else know?

When you make personal vows, do you alert others or include them in your decision-making process, either for support, as a witness or just as confirmation and self-knowledge that somebody else knows?

Thanks.

1. All the time.
But I never do. I'm still fat, lazy and disorganized, no matter my good intentions to improve. I don't bother to tell anybody that I'm going to do better because I know I'm not.

2. I used to when I was a kid
I called them Radical Revisions of Personality. Actually I realized that I didn't much want to change my personality...I wanted to change other peoples'. I couldn't change either so I quit trying. I think this experiment was between grades 4-6.

6. Yes, but they are more like goals than vows.
A vow seems like something you dare not break, while goals will have successes and failures.

Hell, we're only human!
