I need some suggestions here.
A guy I know and like, has a drinking problem.
He gets silly drunk, but he's lost his job, driver's license (3 DUI's) and is on unemployment.

I have no real beef with the guy, but he's been going through a case of beer a week, sometimes more.

1. The dui's suck
Stop him from doing those if you can. At minimum, mention it to him.

A case of beer? A week? That's really not so much in my book.

Just let him know you're concerned. It's up to him to do anything about it.

2. 3 DUIs is a pretty sure sign there's a problem with alcohol

I'm surprised the court didn't send him to a couple of AA meetings.

A case a week isn't a lot to most people, but I heard it's not how much or how often you drink, but what it does to you.

Being a purist, I suggest leaving a few AA pamphlets around for him.
