I bought and activated an XM radio for my beautiful daughter's car.
170 channels of music, sports, talk, and bullshit. $25 for the radio kit complete with car kit, home kit and remote control, $77 for a one year subscription WITH one year on-line included, I am happy, as is my kid.

It's the little things.

2. I love the family unsafe comedy channel
The only problem I've had is one of my kids tuned to it accidentally and his head exploded. It wasn't as big of a deal as it sounds because I wasn't entirely sure he was mine anyway. It did a good job of teaching the rest of them and now none of the rest of my brood will dare get within 100' of my vehicle.

4. THAT is funny.
My kid who was born in the late 80's LOVES 80's music, and that is one of the reasons I got it for her. (Dad loves 80's music too).

5. Unfortunately XM was bought out by Sirrus
So now if you're not a previous XM customer you pay the Sirrus rates. I still pay the cheaper XM rates, but I'm sure by the next time I renew I'll be paying the higher subscription cost.

8. I keep wondering if they'll last...
they have bombarded me with renewal offers and my sub isn't up for 8 months.

They combined the Miami & Atlanta traffic report. I really don't want to listen to the entire Miami report before I hear what's happening here.

I loved Fred on 44 and now that one and many of the channels have TALKERS on them. Just give me music please!

I think it's going downhill.

15. I thought there was too much talking by crappy DJs on XM
Sirrus has even more and they are dumber. What's worse is they have DJs that often don't know shit from beans about the genre and all they do is talk about obvious and pointless nonsense.

"Did you know Jimi Hendrix played at Woodstock?"

Yes, everyone knows that. Now STFU and roll the tunes.

9. I was a previous customer so they did the "want you back" rate.
Hey, if they are still here in a year, I'll be happy.

13. This may be the first time in the history of the English language...
...that "sweet" and "Toyota Camry" have been paired together in the same sentence.

7. Is your daughter beautiful or is the car?
Either way you'll like the XM. I like it because there's a lot of music I listen to that is just too hard to find on FM. The commercials are also easy enough to avoid given the variety.
