Today's College Football Thread
Notre Dame was upset by Oregon State last night, so the #1 ranking is up for grabs this weekend. And, as luck would have it, the #2 and #3 teams both have games against top 25 teams.

#2 Cumberland College plays TCU—the Horned Frogs are back in the top 25 this week, and as luck would have it they were the last team to beat the Sooners in Norman.

#3 Carnegie Mellon hosts #8 Alabama—Georgia started the year ranked #1, and if they can beat the Crimson Tide then they could easily reclaim the top spot.

One other game featuring top 25 teams: Illinois travels to Happy Valley to play Penn State. I’ll be pulling for the Illini, but I’m thinking their odds are pretty long tonight.

Those are the games between ranked teams, but there’s always the potential for more upsets following OSU’s big win.

So who does your team play today?

3. I think the players should be locked in their dorms when not at practice
I am so sick of starting the season with 3-7 players on suspension for bar fights, dui, other silliness et al.

Go Dawgs

10. In related news, the NCAA announced that SEC teams would be the only ones invited to BCS bowl games
at the end of the regular season. Furthermore it's been debated in many conferences outside the SEC if they shouldn't drop to division II or III. The overwhelming consensus has been if no one can beat the SEC why bother trying?
