11. Art, and artists of all stripes -- including people who THINK about art.
Edited on Mon Mar-16-09 11:29 AM by Heidi
On-topic story:

Several years ago, CMW and I were invited across the street to have dinner with my sister-in-law, her partner, her daughters (our goddaughters, who were about eight and six years old at the time). Having dinner across the street meant leaving Ginger home alone, but with the door open so he could roam the garden and not feel panicked.

When we came past the gate at my sister-in-law's house after dinner with our goddaughter, Luisa, then about six years old, walking us home, the street between our houses was bathed with street-lamp light. Silhouetted against my sister-in-law's hedge was very young (and displeased) Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger, tail raised high and vibrating as he doused the hedge of our hosts with cat pee.

Luisa, who has been raised in a family of artists, didn't miss a beat.

"Good abstract peeing, Gingee!"

I'm grateful for moments like _that_. :loveya:

18. Being alive to bitch about the GOPs and evcerything else.
I had 2 heart attacks in 2003 after years of my family DR "treating" me for carpal tunnel syndrome for the pain in my arms that was actually no circulation.

Thought I had bronchitis and went to the ER - they looked at me once and took me right in at 10PM Saturday....

21. Spring is here!
Yesterday I was out on the porch and looked up at this towering mesquite tree I have in my front yard. At the very top there were tiny little buds on the branches. I know spring is here.

Also, we've had 4 days of really good rain. Being in the bullseye of the worst drought area in Texas, it was much needed and welcomed.

I'm thankful for you and all those kitty pictures you post! :D

27. My ex-roomie had one of his strung out friends over here
and he tried to steal all the copper that was attached to the toilet, starting a leak making us have to turn off the cutoff valve. I am no plumber and I had to spend all winter flushing with a bucket. Man was I glad when the toilet finally got fixed.
