Does anybody have a scrap ceiling fan (I need parts!)
Does anybody have an old 5--bladed ceiling fan that they are about to trash? I need the 10 screws that fix the blade holders to the fan motor. I lost the set I had for a fan I took down during remodeling.

I can't believe it!
There she goes again
She's tidied up and I can't find anything!

1. Lost all of them?
I'm not completely sure, but I think those are commonly 10/32 screws, usually a 1/4 inch long, mayby 3/8. You can probaby get them at any hardware store a whole hell of a lot quicker than a DUer could mail them to you. If you have one, take it with you to the hardware store and just match it up. If not, the salespeople still might be able to help you.

2. yeah, lost 'em all
Whereever they are they are together in a bag. Those screws have a special ovalized head and a short length. It may be for appearance. I suppose I could just buy whatever fits and dab some black paint on them and no one will ever notice.

I could probably borrow a screw from another fan and take it to the hardware store to match up.

4. Go to Menards, Home Depot, Lowes or your local hardware store
and ask them if they have fan parts... Better yet call first.

6. Lowes Has Them... Usually Displayed On Hooks
with other ceiling fan accessories (decorative chain bobbles, chain extenders, vaulted ceiling adapters, etc.)

5. Mine are 8 - 32 X 5/8 PHMS (it's a pan head, not an oval)
Sorry, I don't have any extras and the hot season is just around the corner (I love my fan). I think a trip to hardware store is in order. Good luck and hope you don't have those silly metric size screws.
