Top this cookie gluttony, Zomby (or anyone)
(since I came in way late on your chocolate chip thread, and would have ordered a gross, alongside McLarge)

This shameful pigout occurred in 1977, driving with a friend from Western Colorado to northern British Columbia for a 10-day wilderness canoe trip (healthy, right?). A girl from work had baked 72 custom-ordered chocolate chippers - "Extra large, with LOTS of chips" - for us to eat on the trip. They turned out like I'd imagine yours did last night, and incredibly my friend just didn't like chippers. So, starting 5 minutes into the trip, in about 2 hours I consumed all 72, with no milk chaser. Washed it all down with about 4 beers and alot of truck bouncing on secondary roads. Kept it in my stomach, and of course got a lifetime sugar rush.

Ahh, the good old days. If I tried that now I'd wind up in the hospital.

1. Excellent!!
There really is no joy like an excellent chocolate chip cookie (with no nuts, of course). There's lots of foods I love, but there are two that send me into my childhood and remind me ofa time when there was nothing but pure goodness and everything in the world was perfect and blissful and all about play with God and dancing with the utter goodness of the universe. And those two things are chocolate chip cookies (without nuts, of course) and my mother's rhubarb pie.

After my mother died, I vowed never to eat rhubarb pie again.

But I will eat chocolate chip cookies (because truth to tell mine were better than hers, but jeez, don't tell her that).

2. No nuts!
Yes, the blasphemy of nuts. My mom had to bake separate chipper batches for me, without da nutz.

My other childhood throwback heavenly foods are pecan pie, fresh strawberries, and end cut of prime rib. Mmmnn

5. Elvis -
You wanna hear about the night (old days again) when I ate 32 oz. of end cut before sitting down at the dinner table?

9. It was an inspired guess
with no real data to lead to that conclusion. Call it an intuitive hit.
