Blue balls
I was taking my kid home from his piano lesson yesterday, and decided to drive through the park to avoid a major traffic jam. It was pretty windy, and as we drove along, we noticed a large blue ball blowing around in a field not far from the creek. Nobody was chasing after it, in fact there wasn't a person in sight. So I pulled into a parking area, and my kid went to get the ball. Needs a little air, but other than that, it's perfectly good.

My son's little concerned about whether his "Leave no trace" vow has been breached. I'm thinking we were just cleaning up the park. With the wind lowing the way it was, the ball would've been in the creek before too long, and on its way to the Potomac.

4. "Leave no trace" means taking nothing with you, too...
But I'm sure that just applies to things that actually belong there. :)

He's a good kid...always wants to be sure he's doing the right thing. And he loves his new ball. :)

6. I've had blue balls for years. I swear by 'em
They're cheaper than those dryer sheets, and much more earth-friendly. They really help cut down static buildup, especially in dry climates.

Here's my balls.

7. I've wondered about those things...
You don't have to put any weird smelly stuff on them to make them work, do you?

8. Nope. Just chuck 'em in the dryer with your load
of washed clothes. The rubber somehow dissipates the static buildup, and your clothes come out static-free in most cases.
