I'll try to condense the story as much as possible... when I first moved up here, I figured that since I now live in a place that actually has a WINTER, I can do a winter sport. So I started ice skating. Unfortunately ever since the rink I go to shut down for the summer and I got a second job and whatnot, I haven't had time to go back. Well, this semester I made sure I had at least one day a week that I could go skating. So last week I finally went for the first time in 6 months or so. I was intending to go again today, but I discovered that they'd switched the schedules around a bit because the kids are off school. So the open skate didn't start until an hour and a half later than I thought it did.

Anyhow, I decided to waste that hour and a half at Guitar Center. And lo and behold, while I was there I encountered one of these.

Normally they're about 200 bucks, but this one was used. Still perfect condition, but used. So it was half that price.

Needless to say, I snagged it. I've been wanting to get a wah, distortion, flange, ect. pedal for a while. Individually those probably would have added up to about 300 bucks. Instead I got an all-in-one pedal that cost a hundred. Not a bad deal at all. :)

It's not the fanciest one out there, but I don't need fancy. I just need something I can use. And this certainly fits the bill. And my budget.

1. Good call! Guitar gear vs. tattoo ... guitar gear wins every time.

4. Yeah, up until now I was recording everything straight and adding effects via computer programs
afterwards. Not nearly as good as being able to do stuff live. :)

5. I just did some price checking... normally this thing's about 200 bucks.
So half price, not half bad. :)

my boyfriend spent most of his refund on recording equipment and i know i'll be a recording widow once he gets his studio set up. that's ok, though, because i haven't seen him this excited or happy about something.

i was going to use my refund last year for a tattoo but i lost my job and it wound up going to rent x(

I wouldn't be able to if I was paying rent right now. :)

*edit* Besides, I think I've done enough body modification for the next several months.

My split ends have been getting pretty rampant lately so I just had to... ugh, I don't even want to say it out loud. Bad enough that I had to do it.

I just had to trim about two inches off my hair.
