2. It's called "Lion Hunt"
that much I can say.

I bought a print of that picture some years ago at the National Museum in London. For some reason it captivates me. I just bought a nice frame and will put it up in my new place. In the old one I didn't have the space for it.

I would love to escort you to the Museum of Modern Art there. I have a huge fascination with artist's sketchbooks; I wish you could see them. :hi:

100. the late great roger brown.
definitely part of the movement. i see on the wiki that there is some fuzziness as to who was the hairy who, who was the nonplussed some, who was the monster roster, who were the imagists. not sure i have the definitive answer on that, except to say that the wiki is all wet. i believe roger was a member of the hairy who, as was ed paschke. christina was a member of the nonplussed some. all together, along with many more, they are the imagists.

a good link to the real deal is-http://www.artscope.net/VAREVIEWS/CHGOimagists.shtml

96. Otto Dix, a German artist who drew and painted his experiences in the trenches of WWI
Perhaps not the most disturbing art I've ever seen, but it comes close.

97. it was really the horrors of WWI that
spawned many of the trends in modern art. the sight of so many disfigured vets on the streets of europe were a major force behind german expressionism. probably why hitler hated it so much. he saw himself, in all his ugliness, in it.
