5. Brought back memories...

When I was a little girl we had a huge pear tree in our front yard. I loved that tree... My father nailed a tin can to the end of a very long board to pick them....My brother and I always got in trouble for climbing it....
I live next door to the house I grew up in, and the tree died when I was twenty-something.

I love really ripe pears...but fermented, don't think I'd go that far! :scared:

Another kid told me that, and I was really scared. :scared:

Now I know that plants bribe animals with fruit in order to disperse the seeds. If the plant is smart enough to do that, the seed wouldn't be so dumb as to germinate inside me. Even if it did, it would be expelled before it had a chance to grow very much.

But these thoughts did not occur to me then.
