BEAGLES!!!!! IS THERE ANYTHING THEY WON'T EAT?!!!
Edited on Sun Jan-18-09 01:55 AM by mycritters2
 I made myself a peanut butter sandwich, the phone rang. I went into the dining room to answer it, went back into the kitchen and the beagle had grabbed and eaten half a loaf of bread. While I turn to put the rest of the half eaten loaf in the trash, she knocks a bottle of Lysol off the counter and starts to carry it off, when I grabbed it from her. All she wants to do is eat, eat, EAT!!!

It drives me crazy!!!

1. I've never known a trim Beagle.
Labs are generally pigs, too.

12. Well, the pit bull will eat anything. I told my daughter her dog is actually a goat
you would not believe the things that dog has ingested and then decided to give back to her, slightly worn for the wear.

socks
underwear
bits of shoe
etc.

4. I just found out that my Hank has gained 7 lbs.
He is now 112 lbs. He soooo has an eating disorder. If I walk to the kitchen, no matter what, he follows. There is always that hope. A morsel may just fall on the floor. He is my defintion of an eating disorder. He acts like it has been days since he has eaten every time he gets fed (2 times a day).

17. Awwwwww.....That's gonna be hard.
I once had to put a dog on a diet and I felt so bad when he was watching me eat, I ate in a bedroom until he had lost his weight. I can't take the eyes. The eyes rule me.

6. LOL! Dogs are such beasts!
I had to go buy my coffee and a sandwich at a quik shop during a power outage once. I was starving, and I gotta have my coffee.

I left for 10 minutes to gas up my car. Damned dog found a way to crawl on the kitchen table and steal my damned sandwich! Nothing but lettuce pieces left all over the floor when I got back.

I called my dad, practically in tears. I asked him if he could take in an orphan. I was sicker than shit, starving, and frozen half to death with no heat for a couple days.

He said get over here, and bring the damned beast. He had a big meal, a warm bed, and a pot of coffee waiting for me. I just love my dad.

:hi:

8. Nothing.
A PB sandwich sounds fairly innocuous, at least. My brother's beagle died from an intestinal blockage--found later to be a large leather glove. :eyes:

10. One Christmas,
I gave Luna beagle the bone from the prime rib. She took off with it, as expected, and returned about 20 minutes later.

I heard her drinking in the kitchen and then a loud crash.

She had surfed and scored the rest of the prime rib, which was down her gullet before I got to the kitchen (and I had run the second I heard the crash)

All gone...

11. Aww.. but it's a beagle...
If you look in the dictionary under "man's best friend" you will find a picture of a beagle. How can you possibly be mad at a beagle? If I were you, I'd just learn to move the food out of beagle range.

15. My Henry, half-beagle/half-cocker
LOOOOOVES cabbage. He doesn't get it very often (it's very gas-inducing) but the other dogs go crazy. They can't believe he's getting a treat that they have no interest in.

18. Had a bloodhound like that. Ate artichoke leaves (cooked), a fur lined
leather glove, and anything else that was available. She was an absolute sweetie though in
every other respect. Think a "healthy appetite" is a trait of many scent hounds. z
